I decided to character create with Ready Player Me - I remember using the tool once during the pandemic to create my own avatar for VRChat so I was happy to go back to the same tool. I gave my fantastical monster-hunting, boyfriend cooking, magic making avatar pink hair and badass makeup and clothes.
To change the file format from glb to fbx, I imported and then exported the model in Blender.
From Mixamo, I downloaded two animations, one fighting sequence and one jogging sequence. I did make the jogging an in place animation since we aren’t doing and camera or player tracking at this point in time.
Somehow had no issues in Unreal. Still in slight shock from that lol.
